When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October of 2012 I was determined to use both traditional and alternative forms of medicine to help me through my journey. In addition to chemotherapy and radiation, I saw Terri Land for Jin Shin Jyutsu. She combines Jin Shin Jyutsu sequences with various natural oils to help alleviate my pain, exhaustion, nausea, and other side effects. She helped to release my fears and worries. Because of Terri, my cancer treatment was very manageable and I was able to work during chemotherapy. I was beyond impressed with my experience with her and highly recommend Terri - when she started the Jin-Shin-Jyutsu, I found myself deeply relaxed and knew I was in great hands.
This past month I decided to get a jump start on spring cleanup around my yard. That night, I went to bed feeling very accomplished. However, that wasn’t the only thing I was feeling. By the next day my legs and arms began to itch. In two days I had a full blown poison ivy/sumac rash all over. The itching and burning was unbearable. I explained my situation with Terri Land but whenever she would mention Jin Shin Jyutsu in the past, I thought it sounded weird and out there. When she offered Jin Shin Jyutsu as an option, I was so desperate I was willing to try anything at this point. The comforting feeling and professionalism that Terri exhibited helped immensely in my recovery. Her techniques helped put me in an amazing relaxation state. The healing process started immediately as I began to notice a reduction in the “angry” rash. Thank you so much!!!
What a relaxing and enjoyable evening! Our self-healing workshop with Terri Land was a very interesting and informative introduction to Jin Shin Jyutsu. We left our session with a working knowledge of the history and philosophy of this ancient art. In addition, we left with easy and effective techniques that we can use every day to bring balance, mindfulness and well-being into our lives through the healing power of touch.
My sister gave me a wonderful birthday gift certificate for a Jin Shin Jyutsu session. I found it so healing and relaxing that I scheduled a series of follow-up sessions. I wanted to share this ancient art of self- healing and harmonizing of the life energy in the body with others. Terri graciously offered to host a small group self-help workshop. She is passionate about her practice and taught us many self-help techniques that are easily integrated into everyday living. I use these helpful techniques on a daily basis. I would recommend Terri's private and/or small group sessions to anyone who is interested in holistic healing and in learning worthwhile self-care strategies.
